Kylie's Bday

So, Kylie's Bday was the Friday that I went in to the hospital, and I wanted to have a party before we had Sarah. The Tues before I called a friend to see if she and her family could come over for cake and ice cream. Thank goodness they were able to come on such short notice. Kylie is so excited to be FOUR!!! She's had a great year. She's learned her alphabet, numbers and she's finally pronouncing her S's at the beginning of words (We wanted to make sure she did before we had SARAH), and now she's speaking more clearly. She has quite the big personality. We laughes at her own jokes, and now she even gets and laughs at ours! She loves to make up knock knock jokes, although they NEVER make any sense. She loves to get herself dressed up...at least 3 times a day. She's rather wear a headband than a bow, but the headband always falls forward and drives me nuts. Her favorite food (for today) is Chicken Nuggets, favorite color is Pink, her favorite song to dance and sing to is QUEEN-"We Will Rock You", favorite movie is Tarzan, and her favorite sister is Sarah! Of course. She is such a great big sister and she loves to hold and kiss Sarah. Onher actualy birthday I took her to Baskin Robbins for a scoop of ice cream. I had been telling her that she was going to get a baby sister for her Bday, and she totally remembers that day. We were getting out of the car and she got upset that I hadn't gotten her her sister yet. I kept telling her that she was coming "tomorrow" but that still didn't make her happy. It was so cute! My mom sent some $ and I got Kylie a Fur Real Pet (the white fluffy cat) it meows and walks. She loves it. Gama and Papa Evans always send a charm to add on the granddaughters charm bracelets, this year Kylie for an ice cream cone, so cute. Happy Birthday Kylie. We love you so much!

Sarah 1 week old

This was her first outing @ Babies R Us to get her blessing dress, and then her 1 week picture.

Sarah's first Bath

Her favorite part was getting her hair washed. Other than that she screamed the whole time.

Sarah Grace Evans

Saturday March 13th 2010,

Sarah Grace Evans entered this world after one big push. She was 7 lbs 8 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. We still haven't decided who she looks like, so for now we are saying a good mix of the girls. She does however have a TON of hair, short BLONDE eyelashes, long fingernail beds, and super long toes :). She loves to sleep and get warm and cozy, this proves true when it's time to eat. She doesn't like to wake up at all. The girls love her and fight over who gets to hold her next. So they have to take turns, but if they aren't being nice to each other, then they loose their turn.

I went in Friday night (Thank you Tawny for watching the girls for a few days!!) to get Cytotec around 8:30pm. mini contractions started around 9pm and stayed consistent for HOURS and HOURS. They started hurting a bit more in the morning. Around 6 am they gave me pitocin and around 8:30am I got my epidural. I have had 4 epid.s and all different results. I loved this Dr. because he took the time to listen to my experiences and figure out how to help me. He found the "bad" spot in my back where i had the last epid. So he placed it in a different place. Surprisingly the Epidural was the least of my needle worries. THe night before they gave me an IV....well....TRIED for forever! 3 nurses, 2 pokes each, 1 Anesteseologist (sp?) ONE POKE===3 blown veins, 7 pokes, lots of gauze and tape, throbbing arms wrapped in warm towels.....and ONE IV from the DR. FINALLY! Thank goodness he came in when he did. I will take pics of my arms and post that later. Nasty looking.
Anyways.....I got the Epidural around 8:30am, then they broke my water. I knew it would only take about 4 hrs since that is what it was with the girls. 12:30pm I was told I was a 10 cm. Yahooooo! But we had to wait for the Dr. to come in so I could push. I did a mini prctice push about 25 mins before she came in so we could see where the head was.....and then we had to wait.......THen one big push and out came Sarah. They asked if I wanted to hold her right after taking her out. I told them I have a thing about holding nasty slimy babies...luckily they understood. Good thing I said that. She came out all WHITE...I mean WHITE gunk all over her. Even after they wiped her off it was still ALL OVER. She looked so much better when she finally got a bath. :). Everything went great and I felt great.
After the delivery she went to the nursery and I got moved to the 3rd floor. By then I was feeling really sick. THe last hour or so before having her some pain was coming back so they upped the epid. and gave me morphine....I had never had morph. before. So, I got really sick and totally wanted to throw up, but I couldn't with my two friends and the girls there. So i just sat back while they enjoyed Sarah. I felt so sick I couldn't even see how Kylie & Maddie were with Sarah :(. Later on when it passed I was watching Maddie hold her and she was just snuggling her and singing her a soft lullaby that she made up. It was so precious. Kylie went back home with my friend Tawny and Maddie stayed longer with my friend Tiffany and her hubby picked them up and took them to dinner then dropped Maddie of at Tawny's. Thanks girls!!!!! Well, that's all for now. I will post pics later.

Baby Time?

Well, I am still waiting for my little dancing queen to make her debut. I call her that since she moves around soooooo much. I joke that she's mad because her stage is getting smaller in my belly. I have been going back and forth from Brax. Hicks and real contractions off and on. Today I have had more real ones...hey like right now. I am dialated to at least 1 cm so far. I have never been dialated before going in to the Hospitals so this is nice! I love my Dr. and we had agreed that she would be the one to deliver, she was really excited too. BUT.....when they called the hospital last week to schedule my induction they said she was full for the day! WHAT???? Her nurse was confused since they had never told her NO before when calling. hmmmm. My Dr. was really bummed too, so she called her best friend in the practice and asked if she could do it a few days later than what we had planned. So.....unless i have her before (I very well could) I will call the hospital this next Friday night @ 7:30pm to ask when I can come in to get the cytotec, then have her Saturday. So, we will see. Another tricky thing is that Kylie's 4th bday is tht Friday as well.....so we need to plan a time to have a cake for her. At least she's young enough not to notice too much of a difference for the day we have it. She will be happy either way.

Well, wish me luck! We will post when there's more to tell!

Oh, my good friend took some belly pics the other day and I will post them soon! My belly is HUGE!
