Crayon Roll Up

I actually got this idea from Larry's mom. She use to make them out of wash cloths for her kids many years ago. Now the idea is coming back into style. Here's my version of it! This Roll Up holds 16 crayons. It makes a great gift! Let me know if you like it. It actually took a bit longer to make it that I thought, almost 1 hour. Oh well, it was my first time.

Madeline's 1st Day of Kindergarten

It was so cute this morning. Larry & I were in the bathroom getting ready and Maddie comes in and says..."I bet you can't believe that your 5 year old is going into Kindergarten!" It was soooo funny. She was so exticed she barely ate any breakfast. She's in the morning class, so it makes it much easier for the rest of the day. Kylie was excited too. She had to stand by Maddie and take pictures just the same. Maddie's backpack is so cute! We drove to the school and I pulled up and Maddie hopped out, we said a quick goodbye as I watched her walk calmly to her new classroom. All day Kylie kept asking it if was time to pick Maddie up. "Maddie (rather 'Baddie'-that's how she pronounces it) school now?" It was so cute. She was actually kind of bored with out Maddie. I would ask her if she missed Maddie and she would do her sad voice and say "yeah". Then when it was finally time to get her she was very excited! Maddie had a great day and she loves her teacher. She even made a few friends. Oh...too funny (or sad) I need to share. While she was so happy to go, she said there was a little boy who cried for his mom to stay, and he kept crying he was even thowing up in the garbage can by the door. Poor thing!

Baby Girl Diaper Cake

Ok, so I made this for my friend who is having a girl. What do you think? It's a 2 tier newborn diaper cake (25 diapers), with 2 binki clips, and a minky Tag blanket and a pink headband
(not shown).

This one is for my other friend who had a little boy...but now instead of size 1 diapers...I should have used tiny tiny ones. Oh well.

Asher Paul Dunn

Ok, Asher means Fortunate/blessed/lucky (which he truly is) and Paul means Small/humble. So it fits prefectly!

Baby Dunn

So, for those of you who know Zion & Melinda Dunn...she was due to have a baby on Sept 4th. But her little guy (no name yet) was ready to come and say hello to the world this morning by emergency C-section, coming out screaming (very good sign), 7 weeks early. The umb. cord was wrapped around his neck 4...yes 4 times. He weighs 3.2 lbs. and is around 12 inches long (estimate for now). Melinda is recovering, so her and the baby need lots of happy thoughts and prayers sent their way!

I love Jelly Bellies & Sewing!!!

Ok, so I have been busy sewing these days, here's a few things I have finally listed.

I have also started making Pacifier Clips. I will add pics of them later!

This past Monday on Larry's day off, we convinced his parents to go to the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield. Did you know it can take 7-21 days to make a single Jelly Belly? Crazy!!! We were in a sugar high on the way home. I thought it would be a tad bit cooler there...boy was I wrong. It was still around 102 degrees! UGH!

Apples & Pears Apron

Ok, so here's my newest creation. I love this fabric, it's Alexander Henry. I finally finished it today. I have had a hard time trying to decide how to do the pocket. So today at the fabric store...it came to me. Hope you all like it. I am listing it with the matching pot holders on my ETSY site tomorrow. So Larry wans't home, and Madeline took the pictures. They turned out pretty good! Thank you Maddie!
