A REAL Pillow Case Dress

So, my Sis-in-law, Liz, wanted a dress made out of this pillow case that she found at her moms. I was really excited to make it since it was an actual pillow case instead of me having to pick out fabric then make one from scratch. So here it is!!! I think it turned out so cute. I even have a matching bow for my niece Abby.

ZOO

So, this past Saturday we took the girls to the Sacramento Zoo. The last time we went was 4th of July 2006. The weather was perfect and it wasn't too crowded. It just took a long time to find a parking place, then we had to WALK WALK WALK. I sure got my exercise. After the Zoo we went to The Cheesecake Factory. It's my favorite place. I get the same thing EVERYTIME! Chicken and Biscuts. YUMMY!!! Then of course I had to get a Godiva Choc. Chesecake slice to take home. But then the night wasn't over. We walked over to the AT&T store and Larry & I got some new phones. Woooo whoooo! I am happy. I now have one that I can take pics with and it has a speaker. I had an OLD Nokia before that was SUPER BASIC. so, I am not up today. We got the Samsung slider phones. I got the red one and Larry got the lime green one. It was buy one get one free. Couldn't pass that up. Well, it was a great day!

No more birds

I am sad to say that our little feather friends have lost their nest and their 4 eggs. Last year I noticed a finch building a nest on our patio on top of one of the beams. 4 little babies hatched last July and we watched as 3 of them flew away. I didn't have the heart to take down the nest, and I was glad I didn't because a few weeks ago I noticed that the birds came back. They actually built a new nest on top of the old one. The momma bird has been sitting up there for a while, so I knew that she had layed her eggs. Yesterday, I opened the blinds, as I do every morning to see if she's sitting up there, and to my surprise the nest was GONE. I rushed outside and I found the nest on the ground along with 4 little broken eggs. The eggs were only as big as the Easter candy eggs. One of the that I saw was completely broken and the tiny fetus of the baby bird was a couple of inches away from it. Ohhhh...it was so sad. It reminded me of the pictures that the abortion protesters hold up. We were all sad, because we were looking forward to watching these new babies grow and fly away. Oh well. Maybe next time!

Here is a picture of last years babies.

Easter

Well, we had my sister, Natalie, and her youngest, Bailey, at our house from Friday to Sunday. At church I had to sub for the ward chorister, then I conducted my ward choir, then I had a solo. It was a big singing day for me. We had an early dinner which Larry's youngest brother Nate and his wife Jeanann and their adorable baby Bradyn were able to come. It was fun to have family here! We also had an Easter egg hunt....lots of fun!

Ummmmm...OK...

So my brother Phil came for a visit last night. The girls loved it! Everytime he comes, they have to put on some music and DANCE! Yes, they each grab a hand and they turn and turn and turn!!!!!! We ALL get DIZZY! Super cute. Then I showed him my old Puffalump that I have had for 20 years...oh my gosh, I can't believe I can say that now! Anyways, he put it on his head...and he actually scared Kylie. Oh, also, she had never seen facial hair before(except on him)...so she kept starring at his face and petting it.....SO FUNNY!
